One year on

It’s hard to believe, but it’s already been a year since I first opened the Pampas and Pine doors to the public.

Of course it goes without saying that it’s been a topsy turvy year, but our artists, creators and makers have pushed through with us and we’re all still here!

Being my first year in business, I wasn’t sure how winter would go. Port Waikato is predominantly a beach town and therefore not busy through the colder months. I pushed on untill mid June when I finally decided to bite the bullet and close up till October.

Then October rolled around and NZ was in the throws of our second big covid outbreak, but I was finally able to open up again once retail was permitted and it was a whirlwind till Christmas. Starting with our open studio weekend, which went really well. We had a steady flow of visitors through all the local studios and it felt great to be somewhat back to normal life.

As always, please feel free to get in touch if you have something you feel might fit with the Pampas and Pine aesthetic. Please note I sell by consignment only

I’ll be closing at the end of April through to October..

I’d just like to finish by saying thanks for all the support this first year and here’s to many more.

With love and gratitude
